I am a transdisciplinary scholar and research photographer working at the intersections of science and technology studies, social theory, cultural and visual studies, and political ecology.
I am Professor of History of Consciousness at the Department of History of Consciousness, University of California, Santa Cruz. I was previously Professor of Science, Technology and Society at the University of Nottingham, UK and Assistant Professor at the Free University of Berlin, Germany.
I have been a Leverhulme Fellow and an Alexander-von-Humboldt Fellow at the Centre for Cultural Studies, University of California, Santa Cruz and the Office for History of Science and Technology, University of California, Berkeley.
